Education in its broadest sense is any act or experience that has a formative effect on the mind, character, or physical ability of an individual. In its technical sense education is the process by which society deliberately transmits its accumulated knowledge, skills and values from one generation to another through institutions.

Teachers in such institutions direct the education of students and might draw on many subjects, including reading, writing, mathematics, science and history. This process is sometimes called schooling when referring to the education of youth. Teachers in specialized professions such as astrophysics, law, or zoology may teach only a certain subject, usually as professors at institutions of higher learning. There is also education in fields for those who want specific vocational skills, such as those required to be a pilot. In addition there is an array of education possible at the informal level, e.g., at museums and libraries, with the Internet, and in life experience.

The right to education has been described as a basic human right: since 1952, Article 2 of the first Protocol to the European Convention on Human Rights obliges all signatory parties to guarantee the right to education. At world level, the United Nations' International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights of 1966 guarantees this right under its Article 13.

What education and training is needed to be a professional golf player?
Q. I am doing a career report and I want to be a golf player for the LPGA. What education is training needed to pursue this career? How many years of education, college you could attend and what type of degree do you earn? Also, what are average salaries? Thanks so much!!
Asked by Cindy~ - Tue May 13 18:03:55 2008 - - 8 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Being a "Golf Professional" isn't necessarily the same as being a "Professional Golfer". Golf Pros generally work within the golf industry as instructors, Golf Course Managers/Director's of Golf etc. Professional Golfers play the game to make a living. To become a Golf Pro you need at the least to have a diploma in golf management from a community college. These courses teach everything from course maintenance to club repairs to running local tournaments to managing a golf course. To be a Professional Golfer you need the skill to play the game at it's highest level.

What is the best music education program in Illinois?
Q. Right now, I am planning on transferring to NIU and majoring in Music Education. I am still searching for other options. I have been searching for the best music education programs in Illinois and can't find any definitive answers. I only want public schools so that narrows things down a little bit. If anyone has any information regarding any other music education programs, or the one I plan on entering, would be greatly appreciated.

How much education and experience do you need to become a paralegal?
Q. I am working towards a liberal arts 2 year basic degree. By the end, I would have taken 4 paralegal/law classes. I have an internship this summer also. Would I be able to get hired with my education and experience. I know they look for people with a 4 year in that field, but I still have a chance right?
Asked by Lynn - Wed Jan 14 22:29:36 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Sorry...but no. You need either years of law office experience or at least a 2 year degree (in paralegal studies) AND 1-2 years of law office experience. Just look at local postings for paralegal positions and see what requirements firms in your area are asking for. You may be surprised by how difficult it is to find a paralegal job without at least 3 years of paralegal experience.
